Inspired by the old world literary tales of large (sometimes unexpected) dinner gatherings; our Beorn Collection furnishes strong yet elegant dining tables that are as appropriate for large dining parties as they are small family breakfasts.

Custom lengths and "knock-down" design make for configurable seating as well as mobility when desired in a commercial scale banquet setting. Strength of hardwood construction combined with timeless aesthetics make the Beorn Collection the perfect choice for anyone seeking an heirloom quality trestle style dining table.

Handmade in Texas using only USA sourced hardwood lumber.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

The Beorn Trestle Table is constructed using solid Black Walnut for the table top, trestles and mid stretcher. The corbeled upper stretcher and tusk tenons are constructed of solid Purple Heart. 8' is our standard length. However, custom lengths of 5', 6' and 7' can be ordered. 8' (and custom length) tables are constructed with permanent 3" breadboard ends whereas the 11' / 8' versions are removable.

The functionally beautiful "knock-down" design allows an extremely heavy piece of furniture to be deconstructed and moved with relative ease. A combination of mortise and tenon, tusk tenons and lap joinery is utilized to construct the table base. Once the tusk tenons are seated and the top stretcher is lowered into place, we have an impressively strong table base with tight tolerances. The top can then be lowered down over the dowels and set in place.

DIMENSIONS & SEATING

The 8' Beorn Trestle Table is 96" in length and 32" in width. It seats 8 adults when only seated on the long sides or 10 when utilizing the ends. Plating size must be considered when deciding between 8 or 10 seats. Our standard no-leaf Beorn Trestle Table has a 10" overhang on the ends. However, custom overhang lengths can be ordered to prioritize legroom for seating on the table ends.

Each table measures 30" from the ground level to the top of the 1-⅝" thick tabletop.

Customization options such as length, width and lumber species impact the final price as well. Project completion / lead times may also impact the final price in the event of a rushed completion date.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

If your delivery address is within our delivery radius, we prefer to personally deliver and assemble your furniture. We can deliver to and around most major cities in the State of Texas.

However, if your delivery address is outside our in-house delivery radius, we will gladly package and ship your item(s).
