BANDSAW SLIDING-DOVETAIL-TENON SLED PLANS

My solution for safely cutting clean, straight, repeatable dovetail tenons on a bandsaw… like the kind found on Roubo Workbenches with 6" x 6" legs and 5" tops. The sled is designed to cut 15 degree tenons between 1-½" - 6" wide at any depth you please (within reason of course). Smaller tenons (under 4") can be cut with the bandsaw blade encompassed within the interior cutouts while larger tenons (4"-6") can be cut by extending the component past the sled.
The sled rests against your bandsaw's fence and is secured to the bandsaw table with (2x) removable Magswitch MagJig 150 magnetic clamps. The sled is positioned in the location where the bandsaw blade will cut one side of the tenon. Once the cut is made, the fence is rotated 180 degrees and repositioned to make the second cut on the other side of the tenon.
