Inspired by the old world literary tales of large (sometimes unexpected) dinner gatherings; our Beorn Collection furnishes strong yet elegant dining tables that are as appropriate for large dining parties as they are small family breakfasts.
Custom lengths and "knock-down" design make for configurable seating as well as mobility when desired in a commercial scale banquet setting. Strength of hardwood construction combined with timeless aesthetics make the Beorn Collection the perfect choice for anyone seeking an heirloom quality trestle style dining table.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
The Beorn Trestle Table is constructed using solid Black Walnut for the table top, trestles and mid stretcher. The corbeled upper stretcher and tusk tenons are constructed of solid Purple Heart. Our 8' / 11' length tables include Black Walnut leaves with corbeled Purple Heart beams, cantilevered for added strength. Every 11' Beorn Trestle Table can easily be converted from 11' to an 8' length by removing the 21" leaves and adding the 3" removable breadboard ends in their place.
"KNOCK-DOWN" DESIGN
The functionally beautiful "knock-down" design allows an extremely heavy piece of furniture to be deconstructed and moved with relative ease. A combination of mortise and tenon, tusk tenons and lap joinery is utilized to construct the table base. Once the tusk tenons are seated and the top stretcher is lowered into place, we have an impressively strong table base with tight tolerances. The top can then be lowered down over the dowels and set in place. When utilizing the full 11' length, the leaf extensions slide into their place and are seated using supplied hardware.
DIMENSIONS & SEATING
The 8' / 11' Beorn Trestle Table is a banquet style dining table. It is 132" in length and 32" in width, lending it to large intimately seated gatherings. It seats up to 12 adults when only seating on the long sides or 14 when utilizing the ends. Plating size must be considered when deciding between 12 or 14 seats.
At its 8' configuration The Beorn Trestle Table is 96" in length and 32" in width. It seats up to 8 adults when only seated on the long sides or 10 when utilizing the ends. Plating size must be considered when deciding between 8 or 10 seats.
Each table measures 30" from the ground level to the top of the 1-⅝" thick tabletop.

Due to the scope / size of our Beorn Trestle Tables and the ever changing price of hardwood lumber, we prefer to quote each table on an individual basis. Customization options such as length, width and lumber species impact the final price as well.
